- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 3/4 cup white sugar for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and get ready for some magic in your kitchen.
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until the mixture is beautifully smooth and creamy. Beat in the egg, aromatic vanilla extract, and rich almond extract.
- Gradually blend in those dry ingredients you set aside, mixing until just combined.
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into little balls and place them onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass and sprinkle with a little bit of sugar on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until they turn a lovely golden hue. Let the cookies cool on wire racks, and enjoy!
