Description

A cozy fall treat, these Air Fryer Apple Fries transform apples into tender, crispy fries, served with caramel or yogurt.


Ingredients

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples: Peel (optional) and cut the apples into fry-like sticks. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Set up coating stations:
  3. Bowl 1: Add flour for dredging.
  4. Bowl 2: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and milk together until combined.
  5. Bowl 3: Mix panko breadcrumbs, sugar, and cinnamon to create a delightful coating.
  6. Coat the apples: Dredge each apple stick in the flour, dip it into the egg mixture, then coat it well with the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Air fry: Lightly spray the coated apple fries with nonstick spray. Place them in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 7–9 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
