Description

Tender, flavorful beef gyros marinated with warm spices and served with fresh vegetables and tzatziki sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 pita breads or wraps
  • Fresh vegetables: lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions
  • Tzatziki sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the beef mixture into patties or loaf shapes and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. Slice your fresh vegetables.
  6. Remove the beef from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the warm beef in pita breads with vegetables and tzatziki sauce.

Notes

Marinate beef hours ahead for deeper flavor; leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days.
