- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 teaspoons chai spice blend
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and chai spice blend.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
This cake keeps beautifully in the fridge for up to five days. You can freeze slices for up to three months.
