Description

A cozy treat made with ripe bananas and a delightful swirl of cinnamon sugar, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter until creamy.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt. Then add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  4. Stir in the flour until just combined—don’t overmix!
  5. Mix together the ground cinnamon and brown sugar until well blended.
  6. Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture over the top.
  7. Add the remaining banana batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Using a knife, lightly swirl the mixture to create a beautiful marbled effect.
  9. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool before slicing and serving, letting the flavors mingle as it rests.

Notes

Can be customized with nuts, chocolate chips, fruits, or citrus zest. Store in plastic wrap at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for a week.
