Description

A comforting casserole made with creamy pierogies and savory kielbasa, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 3 packages Mrs. T’s cheddar pierogies
  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
  • 4 cups chicken broth (3 cups for the casserole, 1 cup for later)
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup for the casserole, 1 cup for later)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Slice the kielbasa and allow the cream cheese to come to room temperature.
  2. Layer half of the frozen pierogies in the crockpot as the base.
  3. Add half of the sliced kielbasa over the pierogies.
  4. Dot the softened cream cheese evenly over the top.
  5. Pour 3 cups of chicken broth and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Layer the remaining pierogies and kielbasa, finishing with another sprinkle of cheese.
  8. Cover and set the crockpot to low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  9. Once finished, stir everything together and serve hot.

Notes

This casserole can be prepped the night before and refrigerated. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
