- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grab a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Combine the cooked chicken, cottage cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of the baking dish.
- Layer the chicken-cottage cheese mixture over the sauce, spreading it evenly.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken mixture.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, and garnish with fresh basil. Scoop it into bowls and enjoy!
Notes
Feel free to customize with your favorite vegetables or substitute ricotta cheese for a creamier texture.
