Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for cozy weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then cook them in the skillet for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and garlic, cooking until the mushrooms are tender and fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet, letting it soak in the creamy sauce for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Easily customizable with different herbs or vegetables. For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
