Description

A cozy comfort food classic featuring tender beef chuck roast cooked to perfection in a crock pot.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls or hoagie buns
  • Provolone or Swiss cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the beef chuck roast in the crock pot.
  2. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic over the roast.
  3. Mix the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the meat and onions in the crock pot.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the meat is tender.
  6. Shred the meat using two forks, mixing it with the juices.
  7. Serve the meat on French rolls or hoagie buns, topped with the juices.
  8. Add cheese if desired and broil for a few minutes until melted.

Notes
