- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- French rolls or hoagie buns
- Provolone or Swiss cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the crock pot.
- Add the sliced onion and minced garlic over the roast.
- Mix the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the meat and onions in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 480 minutes or until the meat is tender.
- Shred the meat using two forks, mixing it with the juices.
- Serve the meat on French rolls or hoagie buns, topped with the juices.
- Add cheese if desired and broil for a few minutes until melted.
