Description

A vibrant dish featuring grilled flank steak paired with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, drizzled with balsamic dressing.


Ingredients

  • pounds flank steak
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella balls
  • ½ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic glaze (or reduced balsamic vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a zip-top bag. Add the flank steak and coat thoroughly.
  2. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and grill for about 4-5 minutes per side.
  5. Let the steak rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
  6. Mix halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped basil in a bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt.
  7. Arrange the steak slices and Caprese salad on a serving platter. Drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.

Notes

For added flavors, consider mixing in diced avocado or grilled veggies.
