Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 cup chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup raisins or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Mix together the unsweetened applesauce, maple syrup (or honey), and chopped apples in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in raisins or nuts if desired.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of the dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before serving.
