Description

Delightful homemade mozzarella sticks, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, perfect for any cozy gathering or movie night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut mozzarella sticks into smaller pieces if necessary for bite-sized treats.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: one for flour, one for beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip each cheese stick first into the flour, then into the egg, and finally coat generously with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for 1-2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with marinara sauce.

Notes

You can prepare the mozzarella sticks up to the frying stage and freeze them for later. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
