Instructions
- Mix the patties: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup chopped onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined and form into oval patties.
- Brown the patties: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the patties on each side for about 3-4 minutes.
- Prepare the slow cooker: Place the browned patties into the slow cooker. Add the cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, soy sauce, and sliced onion over the top, ensuring the patties are coated in gravy.
- Cook slowly: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the meat is tender.
- Serve: Once done cooking, serve the Salisbury steak warm, topped with gravy and garnished with parsley.
