Description

A cozy dessert featuring a rich chocolate cake with creamy strawberry swirls and pops of fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in chopped strawberries, coconut, and nuts if desired.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter and gently swirl with a knife or toothpick.
  6. Add dollops of strawberry jam over the top, swirling it slighty.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before serving.

Notes
