A refreshing and nostalgic dessert combining strawberries, a salty pretzel crust, and a creamy filling.
Ingredients

- 6 oz strawberry Jell-O mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 16 oz strawberries (fresh or frozen, hulled & sliced)
- 2 1/2 cups salted pretzels (measured before crushing)
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz Cool Whip (thawed in refrigerator)
Instructions
- Dissolve the 6 oz strawberry Jell-O mix into the 2 cups of boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until fully dissolved.
- Add the sliced strawberries to the Jell-O mixture and set it aside to cool.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Crush the salted pretzels until fine and chunky in a medium bowl.
- Melt the 3/4 cup unsalted butter and mix it with the crushed pretzels and 3 tbsp granulated sugar until well combined.
- Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
- Beat the 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup granulated sugar until smooth.
- Fold in the 8 oz Cool Whip until fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the pretzel base.
- Pour the Jell-O and strawberry layer over the cream cheese filling.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
Notes
For freshness, store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. This dish can be made ahead of time for convenience.
