Description

A comforting and scrumptious baked French toast casserole that will leave your loved ones cheerful and satisfied.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup of flour
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes, allowing them to soak.
  5. Mix the softened cream cheese, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and cinnamon to create a crumb topping.
  6. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the bread and egg mixture.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  8. Bake uncovered for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.
