Description

A comforting and satisfying BBQ Chicken Pizza, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • Pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • ½ cup BBQ sauce, divided
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness on a floured surface.
  3. Transfer the dough to a greased pizza pan or baking sheet and brush the edges with olive oil.
  4. Shred or chop the cooked chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and toss in 2 tablespoons of BBQ sauce.
  5. Spread the remaining BBQ sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  6. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  7. Distribute the BBQ chicken pieces and sliced red onions evenly over the cheese.
  8. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh cilantro over the hot pizza.
