Description

A heartwarming BBQ pulled pork recipe made in the slow cooker, perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 34 lbs of beef roast (such as chuck or brisket)
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup of beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Buns or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Begin by placing the sliced onion at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub this zesty spice mixture generously over the beef roast.
  4. Place the seasoned beef on top of the onions in the slow cooker.
  5. Pour the BBQ sauce and beef broth over the beef.
  6. Cover and set your slow cooker on low for 480 minutes, or on high for 240 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, shred the beef with two forks in the slow cooker.
  8. Serve the pulled pork on buns or over rice, with extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the beef with spices overnight. Adjust BBQ sauce sweetness to taste.
