Ingredients

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup vinegar (white or apple cider)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, vinegar, honey, minced garlic, black pepper, onion powder, and dried thyme until well combined.
- Place your chicken in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish, then pour the marinade generously over the top.
- Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours for more intense flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the chicken for about 6-8 minutes on each side or until fully cooked.
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
This marinade can also be used with turkey, beef, or tofu for a different twist. Leftover grilled chicken can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
