A sophisticated twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, filled with creamy brie, sweet figs, and tart apples.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (sourdough or whole grain)
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 fresh figs, sliced

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Optional: honey or balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  2. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread, ensuring even coverage.
  3. Layer slices of brie cheese on the non-buttered side of one slice, followed by fig and apple slices.
  4. Drizzle honey or balsamic glaze over the top, if using.
  5. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side out.
  6. Place the sandwich in the skillet and grill until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes
