- 1 egg yolk (for brushing)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares of about 4×4 inches.
- Combine the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and the whole egg in a mixing bowl until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
- Place a generous spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to form a pocket and pinch the edges to seal.
- Brush each pastry with the egg yolk for a golden sheen.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until puffed up and golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
