This Cozy Focaccia Bread is a warm embrace, perfect for sharing at the dinner table or enjoying with a favorite soup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Flaky sea salt for topping
  • Fresh rosemary for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Add warm water and olive oil; mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until doubled in size (1-2 hours).
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet and press it out to fit.
  7. Create dimples in the surface with your fingers, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with flaky sea salt and fresh rosemary.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make ahead for enhanced flavor by preparing the dough a day in advance and letting it rise in the fridge overnight. Store leftovers in a sealed container for up to 2 days or freeze slices for up to a month.
