- 8 oz spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for sautéing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and give yourself a moment to soak in the fragrant anticipation.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until it’s just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. As it warms up, let the kitchen awaken with culinary possibilities!
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until they become translucent and fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it apart and cook until browned.

- Mix the ricotta cheese with the egg, a pinch of salt, and a dash of pepper in a separate bowl.
- Layer half of the cooked spaghetti in a baking dish, followed by the meat sauce, the creamy ricotta mixture, and the remaining spaghetti.
- Sprinkle the grated mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
