A heartwarming dish of creamy pasta with succulent shrimp and a zesty Cajun kick, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning; cook until shrimp is pink and opaque.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and marinara sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  5. Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese, mixing well until everything is coated.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stove to avoid overcooking the shrimp.
