Ingredients

- 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked egg noodles or rice for serving
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing until soft and golden.
- Toss in the sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and tender.
- Add sliced chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to combine.
- Gradually pour in chicken broth, stirring continuously until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and fold in the sour cream.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles or rice.
Notes
Can be made ahead and reheated. Substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt or heavy cream if needed.
