A warm bowl of caramelized ground beef layered over fluffy rice with a creamy gochujang broth, perfect for cozy nights and busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup rice (white or brown)
  • 1/2 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 cup water or broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and caramelized.
  2. Prepare the rice according to the package instructions.
  3. Blend the cottage cheese with gochujang and your choice of water or broth until smooth and creamy. Heat in a pot until warm.
  4. Assemble the bowls by starting with rice, layering on the caramelized ground beef, then pouring the creamy gochujang broth over the top.

Notes

Make-Ahead Magic: The beef and rice can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Rinse rice before cooking for fluffy grains.
