- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (or crushed crackers)
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup ketchup (plus extra for topping)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan by lightly greasing it with cooking spray.
- Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, diced onion, minced garlic, eggs, salt, pepper, oregano, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce in a large mixing bowl. Mix until well incorporated.
- Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf. Spread extra ketchup over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Allow to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
Notes
For perfectly clean slices, use a sharp knife dipped in warm water before cutting. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
