  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (optional)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened and fragrant.
  3. Add ground turkey, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the turkey is browned and cooked through.
  4. In a baking dish, combine the cooked turkey mixture with the diced sweet potatoes, stirring to distribute evenly.
  5. If using, pour the chicken broth over the mixture to keep the casserole moist.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese generously on top.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and continue to bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
