Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Layer the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
  5. Add the savory beef mixture on top of the potatoes.
  6. Spread sour cream over the beef mixture, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbling.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
