- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until browned and cooked through.
- Serve hot as part of your breakfast, alongside fresh eggs or whole-grain toast.
Notes
Sausage mixture can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator overnight for quicker cooking. Patties freeze well for up to three months.
