Ingredients

- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (about 110°F)
- 4 cups all-purpose flour (or a mix of flours)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- Combine the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.
- Make a well in the center of the flour and pour in the yeast mixture along with the olive oil.
- Mix until the dough starts to come together, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough, then roll out to your desired thickness for pizza.
- Top with your favorite ingredients and bake at 475°F (245°C) for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden.
Notes
Feel free to customize with different flours and toppings. Leftover dough can be refrigerated for up to three days or frozen for a month.
