Description

A cozy twist on traditional sushi, this Salmon Sushi Bake combines flavorful seafood with creamy textures for a comforting family meal.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 pound salmon, cooked and flaked
  • 8 ounces imitation crab, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup spicy mayo
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • Nori sheets (for serving)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the sushi rice and water in a medium pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Let it cool slightly.
  3. Mix the cooked salmon, imitation crab, cream cheese, spicy mayo, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a separate bowl until well combined.
  4. Spread the cooked sushi rice evenly at the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer the salmon mixture on top of the rice.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
  8. Serve warm with nori sheets and enjoy!

Notes

Customize with additional ingredients like bell peppers or sriracha for spice. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
