Description

A refreshing blend of strawberries, lemon, and vanilla that brings the essence of summer to your glass.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
  • 13 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (adjust to preference)
  • Ice for serving
  • Lemon slices and fresh mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hull and slice the fresh strawberries.
  2. Combine the sliced strawberries, cold water, fresh lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a blender. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste the mixture and add honey or agave syrup to reach your desired sweetness, blending in between.
  4. If desired, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove seeds or pulp.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Serve over ice, garnished with lemon slices and fresh mint.

Notes

This agua fresca can be made a day in advance and stored in the fridge for best flavor.
