- 2 slices of bread
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup of cabbage, shredded
- 1/4 cup of carrots, shredded
- 2 slices of ham
- Cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for frying
Instructions
- Beat the egg and season with a pinch of salt and pepper, allowing the flavors to mingle.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and add a little butter.
- Add the beaten egg, swirling it around to coat the pan evenly.
- Place the slices of bread on top of the egg and press down gently.
- Cook until the egg is fully set, about 2 minutes, then flip the bread over.
- Remove the bread and egg from the pan, setting them aside for assembly.
- Add a touch more butter and sauté the cabbage and carrots until softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Assemble your toast by layering the sautéed veggies, ham, and cheese (if using) between the two slices of bread.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
