Description

An effortless, creamy, and comforting crock pot chicken dish with ranch seasoning, ideal for busy weeknights.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix (1 oz)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. (Optional) Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  2. In a slow cooker, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the sauce, turning to coat them fully.
  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 360–420 minutes or HIGH for 180–240 minutes.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker using two forks, stirring everything together.
  6. Stir in the sour cream until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  7. Serve hot over rice, potatoes, or noodles. Garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh parsley, if desired.

Notes

You can assemble everything the night before and store it in the fridge until ready to cook.
